I was wondering, after I crashed my s2000, could I have gotten out and put a hole in my tire and blamed that for the accident?

No, you would still be at-fault. You can't blame your car malfunctioning as the cause of your accident as you are held responsible for the maintenance of your vehicle.

Did you guys know in South Africa insurance is not required at all? I mean if you get in a wreck with someone you get a lawyer or go to their house and threaten them and the whole family until they pay up LOL. I have seen people pull out guns at accidents and I have seen people get beat up especially if it was a hooked up ride lol. All this was down in South Africa btw...If you're wondering how come insurance is not required there, the cops are kinda anal about the condition of your car and so is the DMV when you to get your tags - they make you go thru a FULL check up - I mean they will even check for oil leaks, bad wiring, bad tires, cracked windshields, bad brakes (they will test drive your car on the street too) until they give you your tags. When a cop pulls you over there, he can also look under the hood for bad wires, oil leaks and he will even check your e-brake and tires. IF any of these are bad he can pull your tag off or give you a hefty ticket... But yeah, still no insurance is required there no matter how many cars you have

Thanks man Great Info. . . I have a question though. .. when filing for insurance, can your car be stock, and then modified after insurance is issued and the parts still covered w/o telling insurance agent?
